The Loft
The Loft was fully renovated in 2018 and refreshed in 2023. The space is entered off street level, it's the front part of the main building but a completely self-contained space with a separate entrance. Each room is sun filled, a benefit of being south facing. The decor is industrial farmhouse, with wood accent walls, fresh whites and black colour pallet and refurbished furniture throughout. In the living room you'll be amazed at the original oak ceiling beams. The kitchen is spacious and bright with open shelves and cozy wood design walls. The bathroom finishes are clean and modern. You'll have sweet dreams in the bedroom with the cool headboard feature wall and comfy queen bed.
The Kitchen
When you open the front door to The Loft, you will be entering the kitchen. The total space is about 10m2. The L-shaped kitchen design allows for plenty of countertop space while keeping the room open with lots of room to move. The dining table is set up to seat 4, however can accommodate 6 people if needed. The kitchen is equipped with everything you will need. If something is missing, let us know and we will find a solution. Although there isn't an oven, there is a gas cooktop, microwave, fridge and kettle. Dishes, cutlery, cooking utensils, wine glasses are fully stocked. Depending on your coffee preference, Senseo, French Press and drip machine are all available. If you'd like fresh ground coffee beans, let us know and we will provide. Nobody loves coffee more than we do :) You also have a choice of teas, both loose leaf and teabags. There are many spices and oil and vinegars for you to use. As a surprise, there is usually a welcome snack on the table for you to enjoy.
The Living Room
The Living Room is directly above the kitchen and you access it by a set of 12 stairs. Mind your head on your climb, there is a small height restriction :) There is a daybed as the sofa, which has a pull out trundle underneath. Both the couch and the trundle have proper single mattresses to accommodate 2 adults for a comfy night sleep. There are plenty of board games, local marketing material/information magazines and vintage house and home magazines to read. And, let's not forget the hammock chair...perfect spot for morning coffee and end of day aperitif :)
The Bedroom
The bedroom is located down a little hall and up a small set of 4 stairs. Mind your head, another height restriction :) A fairly large space or about 15m2. Set up with 1 queen size bed. There are 2 small floating nightstands, a large armoire and a bench at the end of the bed. You will enjoy a big bay window with a big bench, that can also be used as storage or as nice little nook to sit and enjoy the view of the fields. The window has a black out blind and curtains. The bed linens are white and 100% cotton and you will love the fluffy duvet to keep you cozy at night.
The Bathroom
The bathroom is accessed from the bedroom, or an 'en-suite' if you prefer :) The shower is equipped with a rain shower head and regular shower. We offer shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, hand soap, cotton facial pads, q-tips, and you will never have to ask for more toilet paper! There is a pedestal sink and toilet in the same room and
on the cold days you will enjoy the heated towel rack when you step out of the shower.
