Tremonzey is a small village of 300 people where you will be greeted by the locals with a smile and a wave. It is quiet and peaceful with plenty of green space. There are numerous trails for walking/hiking/biking/running to explore right from the front door. The twisty and hilly roads are famous for motorbikes. We are surrounded by Thermal Baths in all directions. La Bresse and Gerardmer are both less than an hour away by car.

Whether you are just passing through for a night or you plan to stay a while; you will enjoy the peacefulness of the Vosges countryside with some Canadian hospitality sprinkled on top :)

What is a Canadian girl doing in the Vosges countryside? Well, she fell in love with a French guy ...
Hi, we are Annie and Bertrand. We decided it was time for a change in life. We left the corporate rat race behind and exchanged our navy blue suits for overalls and found our perfect forever home. Our farmhouse was originally built in 1771 and fully renovated in 2010. We purchased it in 2021 as not only our home, but also our next project of owning and operating 2 Gites ~ B&Bs.

When we aren't doing renovations and home maintenance, you'll most likely find us running in our local trails with our 2 dogs ~ Massai and Scar, both of them LOVE running in the trails. But they also love belly rubs, snacks and lots of love. Another huge bonus to leaving the corporate world behind us, we finally get to have dogs!

Annie was born in Canada. Bertrand was born in France and lived in Canada for 20 years. We moved back to Europe and decided to call France home, after a few years first living in Luxembourg. The Vosges mountains were Bertrand's backyard playground when he was growing up and now they are OUR backyard playground!
​
We are both sports enthusiasts and lovers of the great outdoors. When we are indoors, you'll find Bertrand on the squash court or in the garage working on his secret pilsner recipe. You'll find Annie with some sort of power tool in her hand doing renovations or making furniture. We love all 4 seasons and the food that comes with each :)
